MORE PICS of 745 Studios
Based in Nashville, TN, Advantage Music Production prides itself in being able to adapt to many different production styles. Sometimes this can be assembling a musical project, note by note and instrument by instrument. But, our favorite way to work is to put great musicians in a studio and record everyone at the same time. The spontaneity and artistry created by several musicians listening and reacting to what the others are doing brings tremendous musicality and artistry to the final product.
AMP does not own a recording studio, but has relationships with several large commercial studios in Nashville such as Quad and Sound Emporium, and we love working in those rooms. In some cases, we have traveled to the town where a band is located, and used a recording studio in the band’s home town.
After years of recording experience, AMP’s co-founder, Jared Ribble, decided to create his own recording facility 745 Studios and is one of AMP’s preferred recording locations in Nashville. Custom-built with AMP’s production style in mind, 745 Studios is a 1500 square foot, multi-room recording space, designed to be
extremely versatile, friendly to musicians, with line-of-sight across several rooms and patch points everywhere.
“I use 745 Studios because I can walk in with my laptop, seamlessly interface with the studio’s equipment, and know that I am going to get great drum and piano sounds.” – Curt Gibbs, Dove Award winning audio engineer and producer.
Our clients and musicians love it! Because it’s such a flexible space, we’ve found that this room serves a number of different purposes for AMP staff and clients. The Dove Award winning group Denver & the Mile High Orchestra records their entire big-band with AMP, while Tyler Huston stops by just to lay down some of his new songwriting ideas on the grand piano. Best-selling jazz artist Jaimee Paul has used AMP’s facility to rehearse for an upcoming tour. With the record light on, her band captured these rehearsals for further evaluation - but, she also has the beginnings of a new record! Edenbrooke Music chose the facility to shoot a promotional video of their upcoming tour. Getting in on the video action, Tina Soloman enjoyed the look and functionality of the studio so much that she chose to record her record with all her musicians at the same time, and shoot video simultaneously.
Whether you’re doing single-instrument overdubs to finish up a project started at another studio, or recording large groups with video, 7.4.5 Studios was designed for flexibility, allowing musicians to make music together. What a great idea!
