Record production is the flagship division of Advantage Music Production. With lead producers Sandy Tipping and Jared Ribble putting together a team of people to give your recording every ADVANTAGE it will need to succeed in the competitive music business.
A great working relationship, and friendship, evolved as Sandy and Jared found themselves working together as professional musicians on many recording sessions, television shows, and concert events.
Working together on recording projects, the two noticed some vast changes happening in the world of recording and producing: recording equipment became less expensive, and people flocked to set up their own home recording studios, many with little or no training. Of course, the cost to record an album went down, as some decent recording equipment became more accessible. However, as the costs went down, so did the quality of the recordings. Suddenly, everyone was an expert at producing mediocrity.
“Over the years of working as VP-Operations for a record label, the quality of the recordings that aspiring artists would send me plummeted,” explains Ribble. “It was obvious that the singer was very serious about their career. They wanted us to market their recordings to radio and retail, but the sound quality of the recordings was simply not up to the standards the industry would accept.”
Jared and Sandy knew that if these singers and bands were able to get themselves to Nashville, they could experience what professional production coupled with Nashville studio musicians and recording studios could do for their recordings.
